Used it around my mouth when I had really dry skin. Helped out a bit with making it the area feel less dry but I probably ended up getting seborrheic dermatitis due to it as I felt like this product was a bit too strong for my sensitive skin on my face.. Overall I don't recommend using this on sensitive skin/damaged skin barrier and I think it's too strong for your face despite it being a balm. Won't be using this product again.
